Greeting from Coimbatore district Chess Association {CDCA}

CDCA conducted the district chess Championship 2026 tournament for Under 7,9 ,11,13,15,17,19,25 boys and Girls & Men and Women on 04.04.2026 and 05.04.2026 at Hindusthan Arts and Science College, Nava India Coimbatore.

A Total of 675 players participated from 18 Categories.

Top 2 players in Under 7,9,11,13, 17,25 age group categories and top 4 players from Under 15,19 boys and girls & open category players selected for forthcoming Tamilnadu State Chess Championship 2026.

In the Valedictory function Smt.T.R.K Sarasuwathi Managing Trustee of Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust (HECT) attended as a special guest.

Mr A. Muthuswamy former district champion, Quality control Manager of Salzer Electronics limited distributed the prizes.

Mr V.Vijayaraghavan IA was the Chief Arbiter of this event.

Top 10 players for girls and top 15 for boys category were awarded with trophies

Totally 200 trophies were given.

Total cash prizes Rs 35000 Men Rs 23500 and women Rs 11500 cash for Men open (top 12 players) and 6 special veterans prizes were given .
