About CDCA

CDCA is the oldest chess organization in India, dedicated to promoting and nurturing the game of chess for the past 84 years. With a rich history of excellence, we strive to provide a platform for chess enthusiasts of all ages to learn, compete, and grow.

This is to inform you that following members were elected as Coimbatore District Chess Association office bearers for the period of 2025 to 2027. The meeting was held at Sanmarga Sangam near Poomarket RS Puram Coimbatore 641002 on 05.09.2025.

80th Anniversary

The Coimbatore District Chess Association (CDCA), established in 1940, has a rich history and has been supported by prominent figures from Coimbatore. As part of its 80th anniversary, CDCA organized various chess tournaments at the district, state, and national levels during 2022-2023. The celebrations also included three major tournaments: the Tamilnadu Under 18 Chess Championships 2022, the Under 18 National Chess Championships 2022, and the National Team Chess Championship 2023.
